Deidara and Sasori Naruto Shippuden Mid Top Basketball Shoes

Two Akatsuki partners share one pair of kicks in the Deidara and Sasori Naruto Shippuden Mid Top Basketball Shoes. A black base is covered in the red cloud pattern from the Akatsuki cloaks, with orange flame bursts near the toe and comic style panels of both artists posed on the sides.

Deidara, Sasori and the Art Debate

Deidara and Sasori are the Akatsuki’s mismatched artists. Deidara believes art is a fleeting bang, so he molds explosive clay that detonates in a flash. Sasori believes art should last forever, which is why he turned himself and his puppets into permanent works. Their argument about eternal beauty versus instant beauty is one of the most quoted rivalries in Naruto Shippuden.

Design Notes

• Cloud pattern: the red and white clouds wrap the upper just like the famous cloak, so the Akatsuki link is clear from across the room.
• Fire and blast color: bright orange along the lower panels hints at Deidara’s clay explosions.
• Sneaker build: mid top shape with a padded ankle, lace closure and a thick white midsole.

Where They Work

The busy print pairs best with solid black or gray clothing so the shoes stay the star. Try them at conventions, pickup basketball, school and Naruto marathons.

Fans of the series will also spot the sharp contrast between the two artists, one loud and impatient, the other calm and patient, which makes the pair a fun conversation piece.

They make a great gift for the fan who always picks the villains, especially a friend who loves the Akatsuki and wants a Christmas or birthday surprise that no one else owns.
