Godzilla Knitted Cardigan Sweater

Rise from the sea in the Godzilla Knitted Cardigan Sweater. A deep navy cardigan has a large white and blue wave print curling up from the lower left, in the style of classic Japanese woodblock art, pale vertical katakana letters spell the monster’s name on the chest, and the back shows the giant creature emerging in dark blue tones.

About Godzilla

Godzilla is the giant monster that first appeared in a Japanese film in 1954 and became one of the most famous creatures in movie history. Born from nuclear fear, the creature rises from the ocean, stomps through cities and breathes atomic fire. Over decades of films, Godzilla has been a villain, a defender and a symbol, and fans from all over the world gather for each new movie.

Design Highlights

• Great wave art: a sweeping wave with white foam looks like a classic print.
• Katakana title: vertical lettering on the chest adds a poster feel.
• Monster on the back: a large dark illustration of the creature faces the horizon.
• White trim: a bright band around the neckline, cuffs and hem makes the navy stand out.

Where to Wear It

It suits movie nights, museum visits, beach trips and fall evenings. Pair it with grey jeans and sneakers for a clean look, or with black pants for a sharper style.

It makes a great gift for a monster movie fan, an art lover who enjoys Japanese prints or a dad who grew up with the old films. Birthdays, Father’s Day and Christmas are all good times to give it.
