Himura Kenshin Hitokiri Battosai Rurouni Kenshin Streetwear T-Shirt

Carry the wandering swordsman’s legend on the Himura Kenshin Hitokiri Battosai Rurouni Kenshin Streetwear T-Shirt. The shirt is a deep wine red with a coral collar, and the front blends several Kenshin portraits in a busy red and teal collage with his name in Japanese lettering. The back is the showpiece: a tall column of kanji beside a large Kenshin face with his sword resting over one shoulder.

Kenshin and the Battosai

Himura Kenshin was once the Hitokiri Battosai, the most feared assassin of the Bakumatsu war. After the Meiji era began, he put down his killing past and took up a reverse blade sword, vowing to protect people without taking another life. His red hair, the cross shaped scar on his cheek and the Hiten Mitsurugi style make him instantly recognizable, and fans love the tension between the gentle rurouni and the cold killer he used to be.

Design Highlights

• Back kanji column: a vertical line of calligraphy style text runs from the collar down to the waist.
• Red on red look: the dark red body and bright coral neckband keep the whole tee in one fiery family.
• Layered front art: overlapping poses show both of Kenshin’s sides in a single panel.
• Sleeve marks: small prints on each arm tie in the Japanese lettering.

Wearing It

Pair it with black pants and boots for a samurai flavored street outfit, or wear it casually with light jeans. It is a great pick for a retro anime night, a dojo class or a trip to a manga shop.

Give it to a Rurouni Kenshin fan on a birthday or at Christmas, especially the friend who still hums the opening theme.
