About Kurama

Kurama is the fox spirit in Yu Yu Hakusho, living in the body of a human boy named Shuichi Minamino. He was once the feared thief Youko Kurama, and he uses plant based attacks like the Rose Whip. He is calm, smart and loyal, and he joins Yusuke, Kuwabara and Hiei as part of a team that defends the human world. Fans of classic 90s anime love his quiet strength. His battles with Hiei and the Dark Tournament arc are fan favorites, and his clever tactics often save the team in tough fights. The sage sleeves on this kimono recall the forest and plants he commands, and the red rose is a bold surprise on the back. The warm orange belt picks up the color of his fox spirit form, which gives the whole design a balanced, elegant finish.

Design Highlights

• Red rose: a bold flower on the back recalls his famous weapon.
• Sage sleeves: soft green panels that match his plant theme.
• Teal body: a deep natural tone.
• Orange belt: a warm sash that stands out.
