Monsters Inc Pattern Button Up Hawaiian Shirt

Bring the whole Monstropolis crew to your next picnic in the Monsters Inc Pattern Button Up Hawaiian Shirt. Bright squares of pink, green, blue and yellow each hold a cartoon face, from Mike’s single big eye to Sulley’s spotted fur and Boo’s pigtails, set between purple polka dots.

The Faces in the Grid

Boo is the toddler who wanders into the monster world and turns Sulley’s life upside down, calling him Kitty and winning over the whole factory. Mike and Sulley start the story as scare partners and end it as true family. The film made monsters lovable and showed that a good joke can beat a good scare, which is why the cast still shows up on lunchboxes and lanyards today.

Shirt Details

• Color blocking: the checkerboard of faces feels like a comic page, with a lot of color in every square.
• Dotted fur: the purple spots on the blue panels echo Sulley’s coat.
• Easy collar: an open camp collar and button front that you can wear open over a tee or buttoned to the top.
• Short sleeves: light and airy, made for sunshine.

Style Ideas

Keep the rest of the outfit simple with khaki shorts or dark jeans and let the print do the talking. It works for a family trip to a theme park, a kids’ birthday party where the grown ups want to join the fun, or a day of errands when you would rather smile than blend in.

It makes a cheerful gift for Pixar fans of any age. Give it at a birthday, tuck it into a summer care package, or wrap it for the friend who still says “Kitty” every time they see a cat.
