Original Starters Pokemon Versatile Shorts

Choose your first partner, or take all three. The Original Starters Pokemon Versatile Shorts have a white base covered in light gray line drawings of Pikachu, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Charmander and friends, with a colorful group of Charmander, Squirtle, Bulbasaur and Pikachu standing together at the front hem.

About the Original Starters

In the first Pokemon games set in Kanto, new trainers pick one of three partners from Professor Oak: Bulbasaur, Charmander or Squirtle. Each represents a type, with Grass, Fire and Water forming the classic rock paper scissors of the series. Ash Ketchum’s Pikachu, who refused to ride in a Poke Ball, joined them as the mascot of the anime. Many fans still remember which one they chose first.

Design Highlights

• Sketch pattern: gray outlines of dozens of small creatures make a detailed background.
• Color accent group: the four stars of the print are full color, so they pop against the white.
• Light, clean base: a bright white that looks fresh for summer.
• Comfort features: side pockets and an elastic waist.

Where to Wear Them

The thin sketch lines look almost like a coloring book page, so younger fans and grown up collectors both enjoy them.

These are made for a day at the park, a family reunion, a Pokemon release party or a casual workout. A yellow tee nods to Pikachu, and a blue top matches Squirtle.

They make a lovely gift for anyone who grew up with the first generation, whether for a birthday, a holiday exchange or a surprise for the friend who still plays the original games.
