Shine Sprite Super Mario Bros Versatile Shorts

Sunshine in every step. The Shine Sprite Super Mario Bros Versatile Shorts are turquoise with a repeating pattern of golden suns, each with a cheerful face, a wavy outline and rosy cheeks, spread across the front, sides and back.

What Are Shine Sprites?

Shine Sprites are the golden sun shaped collectibles from Super Mario Sunshine, the GameCube game set on the tropical Isle Delfino. Mario uses a water pack called FLUDD to clean up goop and collect them, and when enough are found, the island’s Shine Gate opens up. The cheerful look and the bright tropical setting made them a symbol of the game, and fans remember them with fondness.

Design Highlights

• Smiling suns: round, friendly faces in warm yellow and orange fill the pattern.
• Teal base: a tropical water color that lets the gold stand out.
• Printed all around: the suns continue around the back for a joyful finish.
• Everyday comfort: side pockets and an elastic waist.

Where to Wear Them

The faces are happy and round, so the pattern works for kids and grown ups, and the bright colors look great in the sun.

They suit a pool party, a beach trip, a road trip or a summer barbecue. A white tee keeps the pattern bright, and a navy tank adds contrast. Add sunglasses and sandals for a vacation look.

They make a cheerful gift for a gamer who loves the Sunshine era, ideal for a birthday, a holiday present or a send off before a summer trip.
