We want to inform our Canadian anime community, from Naruto and Attack on Titan fans to Dragon Ball and One Piece enthusiasts, that the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) has issued a 72-hour notice for a potential strike starting Friday, November 15, 2024. Although the CUPW and Canada Post have negotiated for over a year, significant issues remain unresolved, including wages, pensions, and medical leave. The union has received overwhelming support from its members, but the decision to strike immediately will depend on ongoing discussions.

If the strike proceeds, it may delay our usual delivery times, impacting orders for all AnimeBape fans, including those eagerly awaiting new collections, exclusive items, or limited-edition merchandise. Canada Post has also issued a lockout notice, and should an agreement not be reached, urban and rural deliveries could be affected just as the holiday season approaches.
