About the Black Ranger

In Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Zack Taylor is the first Black Ranger and the pilot of the Mastodon Zord. He is a fun loving teen who loves to dance and brings energy to the original five Rangers. His moves, his humor and his friendship with Jason and Billy made him a fan favorite in the show’s first seasons, and many fans still remember the classic morph call that started every battle.

Short Highlights

• White diamond pattern: bold shapes copy the look of the original suit.
• Gold coin emblem: a detailed Mastodon power coin sits on the leg.
• Black body: a sleek color that fits any shirt.
• Elastic waistband: a comfortable fit for training.

Styling and Occasions

Pair them with a black tank at the gym or a white tee at a weekend hangout. They are a fun costume base for comic cons and nineties parties. Add a black tank, black sneakers and a yellow wristband for the full look. The bold diamonds are easy to recognize for any viewer who remembers the original Zords, and the shorts keep their sharp contrast through many washes.

They make a great gift for a Power Rangers fan, whether it is a birthday present or a holiday surprise for the friend who always asked to play the Black Ranger.
