Kaneda Good for Health Akira Knitted Cardigan Sweater

Keep it cool with the Kaneda Good for Health Akira Knitted Cardigan Sweater. A solid red cardigan with darker red sleeves carries a small capsule badge on the chest, and the back reads GOOD FOR HEALTH in curved lettering above a red and white capsule, followed by BAD FOR EDUCATION below.

About the Jacket Slogan

In Akira, Kaneda wears a red jacket with a capsule symbol on the back, and the slogan has become one of the most recognized pieces of anime fashion. It has appeared in homages across music, games and street style for decades. The jacket sums up the rebellious mood of the Neo Tokyo biker gang, and fans wear it as a retro symbol rather than a statement about anything real.

Design Highlights

• Bold red palette: a bright color that matches Kaneda’s jacket.
• Two tone sleeves: the arms have a deeper red for subtle contrast.
• Circular back graphic: the slogan wraps around the capsule for an iconic look.
• Chest badge: a miniature version of the symbol sits on the left side.
• Easy cardigan cut: V neck, buttons and ribbed trim.

Where to Wear It

Great for retro anime screenings, skate parks, cafe trips and street style days. Pair it with black jeans and white sneakers for the right balance, or wear it with a leather jacket in colder weather. A simple white tee underneath keeps the capsule graphic and lettering clear in photos, and the knit stays comfortable for long evenings of film and conversation.

It makes a clean, stylish gift for fans of classic anime, perfect for birthdays, Christmas and anniversary celebrations of the film.
