No Face and Soot Sprites Spirited Away Studio Ghibli Button Up Hawaiian Shirt

Little dust bunnies take over the wardrobe with the No Face and Soot Sprites Spirited Away Studio Ghibli Button Up Hawaiian Shirt. Round black soot sprites with big white eyes tumble across a charcoal background, with a few tiny star candies mixed in.

Soot Sprites and Spirited Away

In Spirited Away, the soot sprites, or susuwatari, are the tiny coal carriers who work in the boiler room under old Kamaji. Chihiro helps them carry a lump of coal, and they reward her kindness. They first appeared in My Neighbor Totoro, and fans love spotting these small, fuzzy creatures in different Ghibli films. No Face, the quiet spirit of the bathhouse, links this print to the same story. Sharp eyed fans will notice that the sprites vary slightly in size, which gives the pattern a hand drawn feel.
