About No Face

No Face, or Kaonashi, is the mysterious spirit in Hayao Miyazaki’s Spirited Away who follows Chihiro into the bathhouse. At first he is shy and silent, but he starts to take on the greed of those around him. He offers gold, grows bigger and swallows people, until Chihiro calms him with kindness. He later finds a quiet home with Zeniba, and fans love how the character mirrors a lonely soul.
