Who Is Simon?

Simon the Digger is a shy young digger from an underground village in Gurren Lagann who finds a small drill key and a tiny mech called Lagann. With the loud, fearless Kamina by his side, he breaks through to the surface and starts a fight against the Spiral King. Simon grows from a timid kid into a leader who believes in the power of spiral energy, and his big speeches have become anime legends. His famous line telling doubters to believe in the Simon who believes in himself still shows up in fan edits and gym playlists.
