Struggler Berserk Knitted Cardigan Sweater

Walk the dark path in the Struggler Berserk Knitted Cardigan Sweater. A gradient runs from black at the shoulders down to blazing red, with a long dark sword and a red brand symbol drawn on the left chest, and sparks floating across the fabric. The back shows a shadowy armored figure in deep blue and purple tones.

About the Struggler

In Berserk, the Struggler is the title earned by Guts, a swordsman who survives impossible battles. He carries the Dragonslayer, a sword so large that it looks more like a slab of iron than a blade. Kentaro Miura’s dark fantasy tells of friendship, betrayal and the will to keep going no matter what. Many readers admire the series for its detailed art and its message about not giving up.

The cardigan keeps the tone of the story through color and mood instead of anything graphic.

Design Highlights

• Black to red fade: a dramatic gradient looks like glowing embers.
• Sword and mark: a clean graphic on the chest hints at the hero’s weapon.
• Armored back art: a moody illustration gives the rear view a cinematic feel.
• Button front: a simple V neck for layering.

Where to Wear It

It suits a dark fantasy book club, a convention or a night out with friends who read manga. Black jeans and boots deepen the mood.

It is a serious present for a reader who has finished the whole saga. Give it on a birthday, at a holiday dinner or as a thank you to the friend who lent you the first volume.
