A painterly all-over print shows Chihiro on the train tracks over a calm sea, No Face standing quietly beside her and Haku’s white dragon curling through blue and teal waves, with a teal band along the neckline and cuffs.

About Spirited Away

Spirited Away is the Hayao Miyazaki film about ten year old Chihiro, who gets trapped in a spirit world and has to work in a bathhouse to save her parents. She befriends Haku, a river spirit who takes the form of a dragon, and meets the lonely No Face, who follows her through the story. The film won an Academy Award and remains one of the most loved animated films in history.

Cardigan Details

• Painted scene: the artwork flows across the front, back and sleeves like a watercolor poster.
• Ocean palette: shades of blue and green evoke the sea train sequence.
• Character focus: Chihiro, No Face and Haku share the front panels.
• Button front: a V neck and a row of buttons make it simple to open or close.

Where to Wear It

This cardigan suits museum days, bookstore visits, quiet cafe afternoons and film festivals. Pair it with a white tee and light denim to keep the colors calm, or with dark pants for a bolder look.

It makes a wonderful gift for a Ghibli lover, a film student or a friend who rewatches Miyazaki’s movies every year. Birthdays, graduations and holiday gifts are all fitting, especially for someone who dreams of a train ride across the water.
