No Face Spirited Away Mid Top Basketball Shoes

Slip quietly into the bathhouse with the No Face Spirited Away Mid Top Basketball Shoes. Charcoal gray, black and white panels carry a pale mask with its gentle purple markings on the side, and a field of tiny soot sprites with wide eyes covers the collar and the upper in a charming pattern.

About No Face

Kaonashi, or No Face, is the silent spirit who follows Chihiro into the bathhouse in Hayao Miyazaki’s Spirited Away. He is lonely, gobbles up everything in sight and takes on a monstrous form before Chihiro leads him to calm down. He later settles in the quiet home of Zeniba and has become one of the most recognized spirits in Ghibli.

What to Notice

• Pale mask art: a calm face on a gray panel is the center of the design.
• Soot sprite pattern: little round spirits dot the shoe in a playful way.
• Monochrome palette: black, gray and white go with everything.
• High top fit: padded collar and a lace up front.

When to Wear Them

Wear them with black jeans and a gray hoodie for a quiet look. They suit a Ghibli movie night, a day at the library, a trip to a museum or a quiet walk in the rain.

Their muted look works for work and school, and they still tell fans exactly what you love.

The little soot sprites are a hidden treat, because you only notice their tiny eyes when you look closely, much like the way the film rewards a second or third viewing.

Give them to the friend who saw Spirited Away many times. They are a gentle birthday, Christmas or graduation present.
