About Xylo Forbartz

Sentenced to Be a Hero is a fantasy anime in which the title of hero is a punishment, not an honor. Criminals are forced to fight monsters in a kingdom that can bring them back to life after each death, and Xylo is the captain who leads a team under that cruel system. Fans love the dark humor, the political twists and his sharp resolve. Those mixed feelings about heroism give the show more depth than a standard fantasy.
