Ippo Blue Hajime no Ippo Versatile Shorts

Step into the ring with the Ippo Blue Hajime no Ippo Versatile Shorts. White fabric carries a black footprint, a round KBG gym logo and the name Ippo Makunouchi, flanked by blue and black striped side panels, and the back shows bold Japanese brush lettering for the Makunouchi fishing boat.

About Ippo Makunouchi

Ippo Makunouchi is the shy high school student of Hajime no Ippo who finds boxing after being rescued by Takamura. He joins the Kamogawa Boxing Gym, where he trains with a simple dream to become strong. His signature Dempsey Roll, his honest nature and his work helping at his family’s fishing boat business make him one of the best loved sports heroes in manga.

Design Notes

• Footprint mark: a bold black footprint stands for the footwork that Ippo practices.
• KBG logo: a round badge refers to the Kamogawa Boxing Gym.
• Blue and black panels: striped side panels give a classic boxing short look.
• Back lettering: brush kanji on the rear nods to the family boat.

Where to Wear Them

They are made for boxing classes, jump rope sessions and long runs. A black tank and a pair of bright sneakers makes a good gym outfit, and they also fit casual summer wear. The elastic waistband keeps them steady during footwork drills.

They are an inspiring gift for a friend who has started training or who loves the series. Give them for a birthday, Christmas or a graduation, and remind the recipient to keep going one round at a time.
