Mamoru Takamura Hajime no Ippo Versatile Shorts

Built like boxing trunks for the street, the Mamoru Takamura Hajime no Ippo Versatile Shorts are solid black with a round gym emblem and a Japanese flag across the top of the leg. Below them, a winged skull figure above the name TAKAMURA in bold yellow and red letters sits on the left and right thigh, with a clean black back.

About Mamoru Takamura

Takamura is the powerful, confident middleweight who trains at the Kamogawa Boxing Gym in the Hajime no Ippo story. He is a big hearted showman who treats rivals with respect, and he gives Ippo advice both in and out of the ring. Fans love his huge self confidence, his famous fights and the loyalty he shows to his friends. His name has become a symbol of the sport in the series.

What Makes the Design Work

• Boxing trunk look: a black body with bold lettering feels like a fighter’s entrance outfit.
• Japan flag patch: a simple red circle that is a nod to the setting of the story.
• Winged figure: an energetic illustration with the name printed beneath it.
• Active ready: pockets on the sides and a stretchy waistband.

Where to Wear Them

These suit the boxing gym, heavy bag rounds, a morning run or a sports bar fight night. With a white tank and a pair of red gloves in the bag, the whole look comes together.

They are a great gift for a boxing fan or an Ippo reader, perfect for a birthday, a holiday gift or a thank you for a sparring partner.
